It was a cold, foggy night when the fire alarm went off. Kim's mom and dad rushed to her room and noticed that somebody had taken her. Kim's mom and dad rushed quickly downstairs and outside. The firemen were not there yet but they could barely see an old car. They went towards the car but it just sped off.
Back at the house they saw the firemen were finally arriving. On their way back to the house they found a green dice on the ground. When they got back to the house they showed it to the firemen and told them they were going to have to get a detective. After the fire was put out they found that there were dangerous fireworks laying on the ground. They called a detective right away.
The detective got there as quickly as possible. Her name was Penny Sickleberry. The firemen handed the fireworks and the dice over to the detective. The detective said "I will take these to my secret lair." Kim's mom and dad had to stay in an old hotel for the night.
The next morning they got a call from the detective and she said,"The dice is your next door neighbor's that she had left outside, but the fireworks were used to set your house on fire." Kim's mom said can we possibly meet back at our house?" "Yea sure i would be happy to" said Penny.
When Kim's mom and dad arrived at their house the detective was already there. They went around trying to look for more mysterious clues. They didn't find anymore so they went to Penny's lair to look at people who might have stolen Kim. The detective asked if they could describe him, but all they remembered was that he was wearing a black mask. They carefully looked over all of the people but there was only one person that was wearing a black mask.
They tracked him down and the computer said that he was in San Diego, California. San Diego was only 30 miles away from where they were. They called the police and told them to come to Kim's mom and dad's house so they could go to San Diego and search for Kim. When they were in San Diego they saw an underground house. They searched around it and found a Chinese yo-yo. Kim's mom said,"Thats Kim's!" The police fiercely barged through the front door trying to save Kim but the criminal had an aggresive snake to defend himself.
The police finally killed the snake with a giant hammer he found on a desk near him. While one of the police were arresting the criminal the other was saving Kim. Kim's mom and dad were so happy to see her alive. One week later they were all moved into their brand new house.
